Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the mental toughness of nurses working in operation room and analyze the relationship between the personal characteristics and mental toughness. Methods:The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the nurses working in opera-tion room of several hospitals in Xuzhou city by the combined self-designed demographic questionnaire and CD-RISC. Results:CD-RISC can effectively assess the resilience level of nurses in operation room, only working years were definitely correlated with mental tough-ness in the typical personal characteristics of nurses in operation room, but the high educational level did not necessarily mean the high mental toughness level. Conclusion:In the selection of nurses working in the operation room, the working years of nurses should be consid-ered and CD-RISC can be used as the selection tool by the personnel department, and a nurse as an individual can also use it to evaluate her own level of mental toughness and judge whether she is suited for nursing service in the operation room.
