Application of comfort nursing in the management of patients with tracheotomy in lCU

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of comfort nursing in the management of patients with tracheotomy in ICU. Meth-ods:112 ICU patients with tracheotomy were divided into the observation group(n=60)and the control group(n=52)according to the admission time. The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group were given com-fort nursing care,the efficacy of comfort nursing mode was evaluated through the comparison of the postoperative complications and the pa-tient comfort and satisfaction between the two groups. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in the comparison of pulmo-nary infection,sputum scab,tracheal wall damage and airway bleeding of the patients between the two groups(P﹥0. 05);the incidence of tube-off and subcutaneous emphysema was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05);the score of patient comfort was significantly lower and the rate of satisfaction was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group (P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The comfort nursing mode is better than the routine nursing mode in the prevention of complications after trache-otomy and in improving patient comfort and satisfaction.
