Effect of holistic nursing intervention on coping style and self-efficacy in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of holistic nursing intervention on coping style and self-efficacy in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods:120 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into the control and observation groups(60 cases in each group ). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the observation group were additionally provid-ed holistic nursing intervention. The score of single MCMQ and GSES and the total score were compared between the two groups 4 weeks later. Results:The score of confrontation was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group after 4 weeks(P﹤0. 05);the score of avoidance was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05);the score of single self-efficacy and the total score was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The holistic nursing in-tervention can improve the medical coping style and enhance self-efficacy in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
