Application of the information system of high quality nursing service in the transfusion room of elderly outpatient

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the application effect of the information system of high quality nursing service in the transfusion room of elderly outpatient. Methods:210 patients were taken as the control group( Jan. to June 2012 before the application of the informa-tion system);other 190 patients were taken as the experimental group( Sept. 2012 to March 2013 after the application of the information system). The occurrence of nursing deficiency,average waiting time for transfusion,satisfaction of nursing care and awareness of health knowledge of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results:The occurrence rate of nursing deficiency was lower in the exper-imental group than the control group(P﹤0. 05);the average waiting time for transfusion was shorter in the experimental group than the control group(P﹤0. 05);the satisfaction of nursing care and awareness of health knowledge of the patients were better in the experimental group than those in the control group(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:Establishment and application of the information system of high quality nurs-ing service is the guarantee of improving the quality of nursing care and ensuring safety of nursing care.
