Survey of the quality of life in patients with nocturia in Shenzhen city
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the status of quality of life in patients with nocturia in Shenzhen city and analyze the related fac-tors. Methods:The self-designed general data questionnaire and nocturia-related quality of life questionnaire( N-QOL)were used to make a filed investigation on 700 patients with nocturia. Results:580 patients over 18 years older were investigated,the scores of quality of life of the patients aged from 18 to 40 years old were lowest and the scores of the patients over 70 years old were lower. The frequency of nocturia was the main factor influencing the patientˊs quality of life. Age,drinking water before going to bed and the nature of occupation were positively correlated with the quality of life of the patients(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:Nocturia seriously affects the patientˊs physical and mental health,therefore the targeted intervention should be implemented according to the influencing factors and the severity of nocturia.
