Effect of psychological and cardiological care on perioperative anxiety and depression in patients with CABG
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of psychological and cardiological care on perioperative anxiety and depression in patients with coronary artery bypass grafting( CABG). Methods:115 patients who would receive CABG were randomly divided into the intervention group(n=60)and the control group(n=55). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the patients in the intervention group were provided psychological and cardiological care and drug intervention using Flupentixol and melitracen tablets and Sertraline. 25 healthy people were selected from the community as the normal control group. The anxiety and depression of the patients in the three groups was respectively assessed by using the Zung self—rating Anxiety Scale( SAS)and self—rating Depression Scale( SDS). Results:There were no statistically significant differences in the comparison of SAS and SDS scores between the two groups before the inter_vention(P>0. 05),but they were significantly higher than those in normal control group(P<0. 01);the scores of SAS and SDS de_creased after operation compared with those before operation in the intervention group(P<0. 01),and they were lower in the intervention group than the control group(P<0. 01). Conclusion:The psychological and cardiological care can obviously alleviate or relieve the periop_erative anxiety and depression of patients with CABG and it help to improve the prognosis.
