Effect of three kinds of PlCC methods on degree of patientˊs comfort

Abstract：Objective:To compare the effect of three kinds of PICC methods in different sites of puncture on degree of patientˊs comfort. Methods:539 patients who underwent PICC were divided into group A(n=95),group B(n=182)and group C(n=262)after the as-sessment of the patientsˊblood vessels according to the different sites of puncture. The effect of catheterization in the different sites of punc-ture on the degree of patientˊs comfort was observed and compared between the two groups. Results:There was statistically significant differ-ence in the comparison of the degree of patientˊs comfort among the three groups(P<0. 01). Conclusion:The site of puncture should be chosen at the width of 3 to 4 fingers above the elbow joint when PICC is performed in the upper arm.
