Effect of high quality nursing care on quality of life in female patients with urinary incontinence

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of high quality nursing care on quality of life in female patients with urinary inconti-nence. Methods:62 female patients with urinary incontinence were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(31 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care like comprehensive assessment of patientˊs condi-tion,medication nursing and making voiding diary based on the same treatment in both groups,and the patients in the observation group were given high quality nursing care,including psychological nursing,health education,diet care,skin care and behavior intervention. The influence of urinary incontinence on the patients,quality of life and the degree of urinary incontinence of the patients were compared be-tween the two groups. Results:The score of ICI-Q-SF and the degree of urinary incontinence were lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P<0. 05);the score of I-QOL was higher in the observation group than the control group(P<0. 05). Conclusion:The high quality nursing care can improve the quality of life of female patients with urinary incontinence and decrease the degree of urinary incontinence.
