Abstract：Objective:To investigate the mental health status of the retired old people in Liaocheng city and the influencing factors in or-der to provide basis for mental health services for the old people. Methods:The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate 640 re-tired old people over 60 years by using general and quality of life questionnaire,SCL-90,MUNSH and SSRS. Results:The quality of life of the old people was related to family relationship,income and personal health conditions(P <0. 05);the influencing factors of mental health were the economic and health conditions,marital status and gender in order(P<0. 05). Conclusion:The physical and mental health of the retired old people in Liaocheng city needs to be improved and the corresponding intervention should be implemented so as to improve their life quality.
