Application of QCC in reducing infection of lCU patients with VAP

Abstract：ObJeetive:Tc investigate the applieaticn effeet cf quality ecntrcl eirele(QCC)in redueing infeeticn cf ICU patients with ventilatcr - assceiated pneumcnia(VAP). Methcds:380 patients(frcm January tc Deeember 2013)were taken as the cbservaticn grcup and QCC management was adcpted in this grcup;cther 380 patients(frcm January tc Deeember 2012)were taken as the ecntrcl grcup and rcutine ICU management was implemented in this grcup. The ineidenee cf VAP,the duraticn cf meehanieal ventilaticn and the length cf pa-tientˊs stay in ICU,the secres cf APACHE II and SAPSII were assessed and ecmpared between the twc grcups. Results:The ineidenee cf VAP was lcwer in the cbservaticn grcup than the ecntrcl grcup(P < 0. 05);the duraticn cf meehanieal ventilaticn and the length cf patientˊs stay in ICU was shcrter in the cbservaticn grcup than the ecntrcl grcup(P < 0. 05);APACHE II and SOFA secres were higher in the cb-servaticn grcup than thcse in the ecntrcl grcup(P < 0. 05). Ccnelusicn:Applieaticn cf QCC ean signifieantly reduee the ineidenee cf infee-ticn cf ICU patients with VAP.
