Application of non-continuous education methods in the improvement of life quality and prevention of fal s in elderly people in community

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of non-continuous education methods in the improvement of life quality and prevention of falls in elderly people in community. Methods:The non-continuous education was conducted to 36 elderly people over 65 years after making a full assessment,the quality of life and mastery of the knowledge of fall prevention of these elderly people was compared after the intervention for one year. Results:The scores of life quality and the awareness rate of the knowledge of fall prevention of these elderly peo-ple significantly increased and improved after the intervention(P<0. 01);the enthusiasm of the elderly people to attend the lectures on fall prevention and awareness rate of the knowledge of fall prevention were significantly better and higher after the intervention than those before the intervention(P<0. 05). Conclusion:The health intervention in the light of the non-continuous education concept can signifi-cantly improve the learning enthusiasm of the elderly people and effectively improve their quality of life and awareness of knowledge of fall prevention.
