Application of the behavior-oriented teaching method in nursing skil s courses for medical students

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of application of the behavior-oriented teaching method in nursing skills courses for clinical medical students. Methods:240 clinical medical students of 8 classes were randomly divided into the traditional teaching group and the be-havior-oriented teaching group(120 students in each group). The traditional teaching method of teaching-studentˊs practice-teacher’s guidance was used in the traditional teaching group;the behavior-oriented teaching method of behavioral guidance-multimedia teaching-practice in groups -assessment by both teachers and students was adopted in the behavior -oriented teaching group. Results:The studentsˊscores of classroom assessment and 24-week clinical practice examination were higher in the behavior-oriented teaching group than the traditional teaching group(P<0. 05,P<0. 01);the operation skills and comprehensive practical ability of the students were sig-nificantly improved. Conclusion:Application of the behavior - oriented teaching method in nursing skills courses for clinical medical students has achieved good results and it can increase the student’s learning interest and improve their comprehensive practical ability.
