Analysis of the anxiety status of patients before renal biopsy and its influencing factors

Abstract:Objective:To know the status of anxiety in patients before renal biopsy and discuss the correlation between the influencing factors of preoperative anxiety and social support in order to provide the basis for relieving patient’s bad mood and reducing postoperative complications. Methods:The Hamilton anxiety scale( HAMA)and social support rating scale was used to investigate 124 hospitalized pa-tients who would undergo renal biopsy. Results:The total scores of anxiety of patients undergoing renal biopsy were 6. 49 ± 2. 84 points,the anxiety level was significantly different between the patients with different educational level(P<0. 05);the difference in the comparison of anxiety level was statistically significant between the patients with different marital status(P<0. 05);the anxiety score of the patients and social support score was negatively correlated(r= -0. 23,P=0. 00). Conclusion:The incidence of anxiety was higher in patients before renal biopsy and early psychological nursing intervention should be implemented.
