Application of health education path to the hospitalized diabetic patients

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the application value of health education path in the hospitalized diabetic patients. Methods:142 patients with diabetes were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(71 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care and the health education path was adopted in the observation group,the test score of the awareness of diabetes-related knowledge and the anxiety and depression status of the patients on admission and at discharge and patient satisfaction at discharge were compared between the two groups. Results:The patientˊs cognition on diabetes,the status of diet,exercise and medication and blood glucose level of the patients and the total scores at discharge were superior in the observation group to the control group(P<0. 05);the differences in the comparison of the scores of SAS and SDS of the patients were statistically significant between the two groups( P <0. 05 );the satisfaction rate of the patients was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:Application of health education path can effectively improve the patientˊs enthusiasm for treatment and their psy-chological conditions and increase the satisfaction rate.
