Application of the "Green Channel Card of Emergency Treatment" to the patients in the emergency department
Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of the "Green Channel Card of Emergency Treatment" in the patients in the e-mergency department. Methods:85 patients who received emergency treatment( from October 2012 to March 2013)were taken as the ex-perimental group and other 72 patients( from October 2011 to March 2012)were taken as the control group. The patients in the experimen-tal group received emergency treatment by using "Green Channel Card of Emergency Treatment" and the patients in the control group could not receive emergency treatment until they got the approval of the chief on duty of the hospital. The waiting time,success rate of res-cue,patient satisfaction and reasonable complaints were compared between the two groups. Results:The waiting time was significantly shor-ter in the experimental group than the control group(P<0. 01);the patient satisfaction rate was higher in the experimental group than the control group(P<0. 05);the complaint rate was lower in the experimental group than the control group(P<0. 05). Conclusion:Applica-tion of the "Green Channel Card of Emergency Treatment" to the patients in the emergency department can shorten the waiting time,im-prove the satisfaction rate and reduce complaints of the patients.
