Application of PDCA combined with PlO health education model to the fol ow-up of patients with standardized treatment of cancer pain in the service demonstration ward
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of application of PDCA combined with PIO health education model to the follow-up of patients with standardized treatment of cancer pain in the service demonstration ward. Methods:96 patients with advanced cancer were ran-domly divided into the experimental group and the control group(48 cases in each group). The routine follow-up management was used in the control group;PDCA combined with PIO health education model was implemented in the patientˊs follow-up in the experimental group. The pain score and the score of life quality of the patients were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the pain score and the score of life quality of the patients between the two groups af-ter discharge for one month(P<0. 05). Conclusion:PDCA combined with PIO health education model is a standardized follow-up model and it can improve the ability of self management and life quality of the discharged patients with cancer pain.
