Abstract:Objective:To explore the influence of outpatient nursing management on the quality of life in patients with diabetes and on the biochemical indexes. Methods:250 patients with type 2 diabetes enrolled in outpatient nursing management( from October 2011 to Oc-tober 2012)were taken as the observation group and other 250 patients who were not under outpatient nursing management were taken as the control group. All patients in both groups were under monitoring and evaluation. The 6-month outpatient nursing management was im-plemented in the observation group though consulting and intervention on risk factors, and then the life quality of the patients and the change of biochemical indexes were compared between the two groups. Results:After 6 months, the scores of SCL-90,SF-36,SAS and SDS of the patients were significantly lower in observation group than the control group(P<0. 01);fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin, insulin resistance index, postprandial 2 h blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein significantly de-creased and high density lipoprotein and cholesterol levels significantly increased in the observation group compared with the control group (P<0. 01). Conclusion:The outpatient nursing management can improve glycemic control in diabetic patients, relieve depression and anxi-ety and improve the quality of life of the patients.
