Effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the patients with hyperthyroidism syndrome treated with ATD

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the curative effects and the quality of life of the patients in the treatment of hyperthyroidism syndrome by using anti thyroid drugs( ATD). Methods:104 patients who received ATD treat-ment for hyperthyroidism syndrome were randomly divided into the experimental group(n=55)and the control group(n=49). The pa-tients in the control group were given routine health education and guidance and comprehensive nursing intervention was additionally given to the patients in the experiment group based on the routine measures. The curative rate and life quality of the patients were compared be-tween the two groups after one year. Results:The curative rate was 72. 73% in the experimental group and significantly higher than 65. 31% in the control group(P﹤0. 05);the scores of quality of life of the patients were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group(P﹤0. 01). Conclusion:The comprehensive nursing intervention can facilitate the recovery of the patients and improve their physical and mental conditions so as to improve the quality of life of the patients.
