Abstract：Objective:To investigate the situation of cognition and demand of home care knowledge of the mothers of preschool children with bronchial asthma. Methods:The self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 68 mothers of preschool children with bronchial asthma and summarize the situation of cognition and demand of home care knowledge of the mothers after dis-charge,analyzing the influencing factors. Results:The cognition of 68 mothers was poor and the total score of the demand of the knowledge was higher. The scores of the cognition were quite different in the mothers with different education level,age and residence(P﹤0. 05);the scores of the cognition were different in the mothers whose children had different conditions and different course of disease(P﹤0. 05);the most demand of the mothers was the knowledge of medication care. Conclusion:Nurses should strengthen the propaganda and health educa-tion of home care knowledge for the parents and pay much attention to those mothers who have low education level and who are not living in urban area,at the same time special attention should be paid to the parents whose children’s illness is not under control and whose chil-dren are initially diagnosed of the disease.
