Effect of participating nursing modeI on the negative emotions and quaIity of Iife of patients with depression

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of participating nursing model on the negative emotions and quality of life of patients with depression. Methods:128 patients with depression were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(64 cases in each group). The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the participating nursing model was adopted in the observation group. The scores of the negative emotions,quality of life and self-care ability were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:The scores of the negative emotions were significantly lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P﹤0. 05);the scores of quality of life and self-care ability were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:Implementation of the participating nursing model for patients with depression can signifi-cantly improve their emotional states,quality of life and self-care ability.
