In the observation group, the case management group provided holistic and continuous nursing care for the pa-tients since they had been admitted and after they were discharged from hospital;the patients in the control group received the routine nurs-ing care. The prosthesis dislocation, deep venous thrombosis, pain control,Harris hip score and patient satisfaction with nursing service were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results:No prosthesis dislocation and deep vein thrombosis occurred in the patients of the observation group;the pain control,Harris hip score and patient satisfaction with nursing service were significantly better and higher in the observation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The case management can reduce the postoperative complications in pa-tients with hip joint replacement,it can also effectively control pain and improve the Harris hip score and patient satisfaction with nursing service.
