Abstract:Objective:To explore the influence of nursing intervention on elderly stroke patients with pulmonary infection associated with dysphagia. Methods:80 elderly stroke patients with pulmonary infection associated with dysphagia were randomly divided into the observa-tion group and the control group(40 cases in each group). The patients in the control group received symptomatic treatment and routine nursing care;the patients in the observation group were given nursing intervention based on routine nursing care. The effect of nursing inter-vention was compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment of dysphagia was higher in the observation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The nursing intervention can significantly enhance the clinical effect in the treatment of pul-monary infection and dysphagia in elderly stroke patients and can improve patient’s swallowing ability.
