Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of comfort nursing model on self-care ability and negative emotions of patients with IV infusion in emergency room. Methods:180 emergency patients receiving intravenous infusion therapy were randomly divided into the obser-vation group and the control group(90 cases in each group). The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the comfort nurs-ing model was adopted in the observation group. The one-time success rate of puncture,self-care ability and mental state of the patients were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The one-time success rate of puncture was significantly higher in the obser-vation group than the control group(P﹤0. 05);the scores of grasp of health knowledge, self concept, self responsibility,self-care skills and self-care ability of the patients were higher in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P﹤0. 05);the scores of HAMA,HAMD,SAS and SDS were lower in the observation group than the control group after the intervention(P﹤0. 05). Con-clusion:Implementation of comfort nursing model to emergency patients with IV infusion can alleviate the patients’negative emotions and improve their self-care ability.
