Abstract：Objective:To explore the influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on social support in patients with hypertension in community. Methods:240 hypertensive patients who had complete resident health files in the communities of A and B were randomly select-ed. 120 hypertensive patients in the community A were taken as group A and the patients in this group were given comprehensive nursing intervention;other 120 hypertensive patients in the community B were taken as group B and were not given nursing intervention;in addition 120 healthy volunteers were taken as group C( the control group). The status of social support was compared among the three groups before and after the intervention. Results:The social support scores were higher in the group C than the group A and B before the intervention( P﹤0. 05);the social support scores were higher after the intervention than those before the intervention in the group A and the scores in the group A were higher than those in the group B(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The effective comprehensive nursing intervention can significantly enhance the social support for hypertensive patients in community so as to improve their quality of life.
