Effect of nursing intervention on blood pressure control,mental state and quality of life in female patients with hypertension

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on blood pressure control,mental state and quality of life in female patients with hypertension. Methods:80 female patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the study group and the control group (40 cases in each group). The conventional medication and routine nursing care were given to the patients in the control group and the sys-tematic nursing intervention and treatment were additionally provided for the patients in the study group. The change of blood pressure, mental state and the scores of life quality of the patients were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results:In the study group, the value of systolic blood pressure( SBP)and diastolic blood pressure( DBP)of the patients decreased after the intervention compared with that before the intervention(P﹤0. 05);the scores of anxiety and depression of the patients were lower in the study group than the control group after the intervention(P﹤0. 05);the scores of life quality of the patients were higher in the study group than the control group after the intervention(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The nursing intervention applied to female patients with hypertension can effectively control blood pressure,improve their mental state and quality of life.
