InfIuence of heaIth beIief modeI on patients with psoriasis vuIgaris
Abstract：Objective:Tostudytheinfluenceofhealthbeliefmodelontheself-managementabilityandqualityoflifeofpatientswith psoriasis vulgaris. Methods:296 patients with psoriasis vulgaris were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group (148 cases in each group). The routine health education was given to the patients in the control group;the health belief model was imple-mented in the intervention group. The self-management ability and quality of life of patients with psoriasis vulgaris were compared be-tween the two groups before and after health education. Results:After health education,the score of self-management ability of the patients was significantly higher in the intervention group than the control group(P﹤0. 01,P﹤0. 05);the score of DLQI was lower in the inter-vention group than the control group(P﹤0. 01,P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:Application of health belief model to patients with psoriasis vulgar-is can significantly improve their self-management ability and quality of life.
