Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of special postural care in the correction of persistent occiput transverse position and occiput posterior position in the active phase. Methods:140 parturient with persistent occiput transverse and occiput posterior position in the active phase were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group(70 parturient in each group). The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the special postural care was additionally provided for the parturient in the experimental group. The fetal position correction,delivery and the time of birth process of vaginal delivery were compared between the two groups. Re-sults:The fetal position correction rate and vaginal delivery rate were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group (P ﹤ 0. 01);the cesarean section rate was significantly lower in the experimental group than the control group(P ﹤ 0. 01);the time of the first and second stage of labor and the time of total stage of labor was significantly shorter in the experimental group than the control group (P ﹤ 0. 05,P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion:The special postural care can effectively correct the occiput transverse and occiput posterior position, reduce the cesarean section rate,shorten the time of birth process of vaginal delivery and improve the quality of delivery.
