Abstract:Objective:Toexplorethenursingmethodsinthetreatmentofchildrenwithsimplepulmonarystenosisbypercutaneousbal-loon pulmonary valvuloplasty. Methods:33 children patients were treated with percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty and they were given comprehensive perioperative nursing care, such as measurement of pulmonary artery pressure and right ventricular pressure before and after balloon dilatation,24-hour ECG monitoring, good preoperative preparation, intraoperative observation, postoperative nursing care and prevention of complications. Results:The postoperative pulse pressure of 33 children significantly decreased(P﹤0. 05);complications occurred in 7 children, including 4 cases of right bundle branch block,2 cases of subcutaneous hematoma due to puncture and one case of hypoxic episodes during operation. Conclusion:The percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty is one of safe and effective methods in the treatment of children with simple pulmonary stenosis. Careful perioperative nursing care can guarantee the smooth progress and safety of the operation.
