Application of nursing care with family involvement to stroke patients with dysphagia
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the application effect of nursing care with family involvement in stroke patients with dysphagia . Methods:80 acute stroke patients with dysphagia were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (40 cases in each group) .The family members participated in the whole training process of swallowing function rehabilitation in the observation group ;the conventional rehabilitation training was implemented by rehabilitation nurses in the control group .The efficacy of the training ,the occur-rence of complications and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups .Results:The difference in the comparison of training efficacy was not statistically significant between the two groups (P>0.05);the occurrence of bucking and aspiration was less in the ob-servation group than the control group (P<0.05);the understanding of family members on swallowing function training and the knowl-edge of complication prevention was better in the observation group than the control group ( P<0.05);The rate of patient satisfaction with nursing service was higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The nursing care with family involve-ment can reduce the occurrence of complications in acute stroke patients with dysphagia and it can promote the recovery of swallowing func -tion of the patients and improve their satisfaction with nursing care .
