Application of clinical nursing pathway in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application of clinical nursing path (CNP) in the prevention of ventilator -associated pneumonia (VAP)Patients.Methods:120 patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (60 cases in each group).The routine nursing measures were taken in the control group and the patients in the observation group were managed by using CNP table .The nursing effects were compared between the two groups .Results:There were statistically significant differ-ences in the comparison of the incidence of VAP ,mechanical ventilation time ,the length of stay and cost in ICU between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:CNP is one of medical service modes in proving high quality and high efficiency services for patients ,which can reduce the incidence of VAP ,shorten the duration of mechanical ventilation and stay time in ICU .
