Influence of nursing intervention on the social support for families of elderly patients with Alzheimer's disease
Abstract：Objective:To explore the influence of nursing intervention on the social support for families of elderly patients with Alzhei -mer's disease.Methods:60 family members of elderly patients with Alzheimer's disease were randomly divided into the study group and the control group (30 members in each group).The members in the control group were not given intervention and the members in the study group were given sustained and effective nursing intervention .The social support scale was used to evaluate and analyze the status of social support for family members of the patients .Results:The score of social support was significantly higher in the study group than the control group after the intervention (P<0.05).Conclusion:The adequate social support for the families of elderly patients with Alzheimer 's dis-ease can effectively improve the psychological health level and the quality of life of the patients .
