Effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the life quality of cervical cancer patients after radical operation

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the life quality of cervical cancer patients after radical operation.Methods:63 cervical cancer patients after radical operation were randomly divided into the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=32).The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and comprehensive nursing intervention was implemen-ted in the observation group,including environmental improvement,psychological and physiological care and health education.The patients'quality of life,the degree of depression and pain and satisfaction with life were compared between the two groups.Results:The scores of the patients in physiological,psychological,social and environmental dimensions were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.01);the scores of depression and pain of the patients were lower in the observation group than the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05);the scores and the total scores of the patients in the 5 dimensions of family life,leisure time,sex life,peer re-lationships and interpersonal communication were higher in observation group than the control group( P<0.05);the differences in the comparison of the scores of the patients in the dimensions of employment status,economic status and self-care ability were not statistically significant between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Application of the comprehensive nursing intervention to cervical cancer pa-tients after radical operation can improve their quality of life and relieve depressed mood.
