Observation on the efficacy of medical cold compress device in the treatment of tibia and fibula fracture
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the efficacy of medical cold compress device combined with intravenous injection of mannitol in the treatment of tibia and fibula fracture.Methods:160 patients with tibia and fibula fracture were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group(80 cases in each group). The patients in both groups were given intravenous injection of 250 ml mannitol(20%)af-ter admission. The patients in the observation group were treated with medical cold compress device and the patients in the control group were treated with homemade ice bag. Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the degree of pain and swelling of the patients, the incidence of tension blisters and osteofascial compartment syndrome and operation schedule between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early use of medical cold compress device for fracture of tibia and fibula can effectively relieve pain and swelling,so the operation can be performed as early as possible and the incidence of osteofascial compartment syndrome will be reduced.
