Abstract:Objective:To investigate the influence of sputum aspiration in different ways on ICU patients with mechanical ventilation . Methods:80 ICU patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (40 cases in each group ) .The closed endotracheal suction was adopted in the observation group and open tracheal suction was used in the control group.HR and SpO2 in 2 minutes before and after sputum suction ,the change of sputum suction time and clinical effect were observed and recorded in both groups .Results:PaO2 and PaCO2 significantly improved in the observation group 96 hours after the treatment ,compared with that in the control group(P<0.05);there were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the recovery time of conscious -ness,number of cases with invasive mechanical ventilation ,the time of application of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation and cases of death between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:The closed endotracheal suction has no obvious influence on the value of HR and SpO2 of ICU patients with mechanical ventilation before and after sputum aspiration .The suction time is shorter and no sputum spraying oc-curs,which can effectively prevent cross infection .
