Application of health management in the prevention of primary hypertension in community

Abstract:Objective:To explore the efficacy of health management in the prevention of primary hypertension in community .Methods:600 patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the observation group ( n=450 ) and the control group ( n=150 ) .The health management intervention was implemented in the observation group and conventional health education was given to the patients in the con -trol group.The risk factors of hypertension ,patient's awareness rate of health knowledge ,psychological state and quality of life were com-pared between the two groups .Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of prevalence of risk factors of hy -pertension,lack of physical exercise,mental pressure,obesity,having salty food,smoking and excessive drinking except hyperlipemia be-tween the two groups(P<0.05);the patient's awareness rate of health knowledge was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group after the intervention (P<0.05);the psychological state and quality of life of the patients were better in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The health management in community can improve the patient's awareness rate of hy-pertension related knowledge and reduce the risk factors of hypertension so as to improve the quality of life and mental state of the patients .
