Impact of self-management health education model on the health-promoting lifestyle in patients with interventional therapy for CHD

Abstract：Objective:To explore the impact of self -management health education model on the health -promoting lifestyle in patients with interventional therapy for coronary heart disease ( CHD ) .Methods:The conditions of 80 patients who would undergo interventional therapy were evaluated according to the nursing program on the right day of admission .The basic nursing care and specific nursing meas-ures were carried out and the self -management health education was conducted by various activities like collective education ,group dis-cussion and individual guidance according to the conditions of each patient .The improvement in each dimension of health -promoting lifes-tyle of the patients was evaluated by using health -promoting lifestyle scale before and after the implementation of self -management health education .Results:The score in each dimension and the total scores of the patients were significantly increased after the implementa -tion of self-management health education compared with those before its implementation (P<0.01).Conclusion:The implementation of self-management health education model can effectively change the patient's unhealthy lifestyle and behavior and plays a good role in pro-moting the establishment of health -promoting lifestyle .
