Abstract:Objective:To explore the relativity among the "sense of coherence",depression and coping style in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).Methods:40 patients with PD (from December 2009 to May 2012) were taken as the observation group;other 40 patients with chronic non-nerological disease were taken as the control group .The sense of coherence scale ( SOC-13 ) , Hamilton Depression Scale ( HAMD) and medical coping modes questionnaire ( MCMQ) were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on the patients in both groups and to make a statistical analysis .Results:The scores of SOC-13,HAMD and MCMQ were higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05);the coping styles of avoidance and resignation were more used and the coping style of confrontation was less used by the patients in the observation group compared with the control group (P<0.05);the sense of coherence was positively correlated with the coping style of confrontation and was negtively correlated with the coping styles of depression , avoidance and resignation ( P<0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of PD patients with depression ,the sense of coherence and coping ability should be enhanced so as to improve their quality of life .
