Abstract:Objective:To analyze the harm of counterflow phenomenon in the continuous infusion of vasoactive drugs by using the three-way connected micro pump&the dropping bottle and to explore the handling method and its prevention .Methods:208 patients treated with infusion of vasoactive drugs (from February 2009 to February 2011) were taken as the control group and other 214 patients receiving the treatment of infusion of vasoactive drugs (from March 2011 to February 2013) were taken as the observation group .The puncture was conducted by using 5.5~6.0 scalp needle in the control group and by using 20~22G vein indwelling needle in the observation group .The preventive measures and handling method of counterflow phenomenon were implemented in both groups .Results:The changes of blood pressure and heart rate and consciousness change of the patients were better in the observation group than the control group ( P<0.01);the incidence of complications in the puncture was significantly less in the observation group than the control group (P<0.01).Conclu-sion:The counterflow phenomenon is so harmful and much attention should be paid to .The phenomenon occurred less the incidence of com-plications was lower when puncture is conducted by using trocar or vein indwelling needle .
