Effect of the extended nursing care on the diabetic patients using insulin pump outside hospital

Abstract:Objective:To explore the extended nursing care on the diabetic patients using insulin pump outside hospital .Methods:42 di-abetic patients who received therapy with insulin pump outside hospital were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (21 cases in each group).The patients in the control group received routine health education and the patients in the observation group were provided extra extended nursing care .The changes of blood glucose ,the incidence of adverse events of using insulin pump and treatment compliance of the patients were observed and compared between the two groups .Results:The fasting and postprandial blood glu-cose were lower after the intervention than those before the intervention in the two groups ( P<0.05);the fasting and postprandial blood glucose were lower in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05);the incidence of adverse events of using insulin pump was lower in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05);the treatment compliance of the patients was better in the observation group than the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion:The extended nursing care can effectively improve blood glucose level in diabetic pa -tients outside hospital ,reduce the incidence of adverse events of using insulin pump and improve treatment compliance of the patients .
