Analysis of antenatal diagnosis index of macrosomia and intrapartum treatment countermeasures
Abstract:Objective:To explore the effective antenatal index to predict the delivery of macrosomia and correct intrapartum treatment methods. Methods:The pregnancy detection indexes of 240 pregnant women who had prenatal examination and gave birth to a macrosomia (from Jan.to Oct.2008 in our hospital) were analyzed and compared with the pregnancy detection indexes of other 240 pregnant women who had a baby in normal weight. The ROC curve was established and the effect of each index to predict macrosomia was compared accord -ing to the area below ROC curve. Results:The area below ROC curve of each predictivre index (AUC) and cutoff value were respectively:the weight of pregnant women before delivery was AUC 0.737,the cutoff value was 72.5 kg;uterine height was AUC 0.800,the cutoff value was 34.5 cm;abdominal circumference was AUC 0.767,the cutoff value was 101 cm;biparietal diameter was AUC 0.731,the cutoff value was 9.5 cm;femur length was AUC 0.778,the cutoff value was 7.4 cm.Conclusion:This study showed that the weight of pregnant women before delivery, uterine height, abdominal circumference, biparietal diameter and femur length has the certain prediction value in predicting the birth of macrosomia. The weight of pregnant women before delivery is regarded as the effective index in the prediction of macrosomia .
