Competency status of nurses in the department of oncology and its influencing factors
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the competency status of nurses in the department of oncology and analyze the influencing factors in order to put forward the corresponding countermeasures .Methods:A self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct a questionnaire sur-vey on 156 nurses in the department of oncology of a certain general hoaspital at the level of grade III -class A.Results:The average scores of the competency of nurses in the department of oncology were 152.29 and 16.74 points,of them the scores of nursing service were the highest and the scores of achievement features were the lowest .The factors affecting the competency of nurses were post ,title,initial degree of education,working years in the department and the years to have got the certificate of nurse qualification .Conclusion:The competency of nurses in the department of oncology is good ,the scores of scientific research ability ,clinical teaching ability and PICC technique ranks the last 3 positions of all items.Therefore the training in these aspects should be strengthened .
