Abstract:Objective:To explore the impact of cognitive behavior intervention on the burden of caregivers for lung cancer patients with chemotherapy. Methods:The caregivers for care of 93 hospitalized lung cancer patients were randomly divided into the experimental group (n=47) and the control group(n=46) according to the scoring criteria of ZBI caregiver burden interview scale .The burden scores of all participants were ≥40.The caregivers in the control group only received routine hospital propaganda and education and the caregivers in the experimental group were provided cognitive behavior intervention based on the routine one ,once a week and 30 ~60 minutes each time, the intervention lasted 10 weeks. The ZBI scale was used to assess the burden of caregivers before and after the intervention .Results:After the intervention, the score of personal burden and burden of responsibility and the total score of ZBI were lower in the experimental group than the control group(P<0.05);Repeated measurement analysis of variance ,the scores between the different time and the group difference were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:The cognitive behavior intervention can reduce the burden of caregivers for care of lung cancer patients with chemotherapy .
