Effect of rehabilitation nursing on the quality of life in patients with dysphagia resulting form radiation encephalopathy

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of rehabilitation nursing on the quality of life in patients with dysphagia resulting form radia -tion encephalopathy .Methods:42 patients with dysphagia resulting form radiation encephalopathy were randomly divided into the rehabilita -tion nursing group(n=22)and the control group(n=20).The rehabilitation nursing focusing on dysphagia was given to the patients after hospitalization in the rehabilitation nursing group and the general rehabilitation nursing was taken in the control group .The quality of life of the patients was evaluated in the two groups after the rehabilitation nursing .Results:There were statistically significant differences in the comparsion of physiological score and psychological score of the patients at discharge and on the first days after admission in the two groups (P<0.05);the physiological score and psychological score at discharge were higher in the rehabilitation nursing group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The rehabilitation nursing can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with dysphagia caused by ra -diation encephalopathy .
