Impact of regular series of lectures of health education on postoperative recovery in patients with breast cancer

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the impact of regular series of lectures of health education on postoperative recovery in patients with breast cancer .Methods:62 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group (31 cases in each group ) .The patients in the experimental group were asked to come back to hospital attending the regular lectures of health educa -tion after discharge;the routine follow-up was only given to the patients in the control group .The functional recovery of the upper limb and the change of anxiety and depression status were compared between the two groups half a year later .Results:The functional recovery of the upper limb was better half a year later in the experimental group than the control group (P<0.05);the degree of anxiety and depres-sion was significantly lower in the experimental group than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The regular series of lectures of health education after discharge can effectively improve the postoperative exercise compliance of the patients and keep them maintaining a good mental state ,which has the significance in the improvement of the postoperative quality of life of patients with breast cancer .
