Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of insulin management unit pattern on the self -efficacy of community patients with type 2 diabetes .Methods:80 type 2 diabetic community patients who received insulin therapy were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group (40 cases in each group). The patients in the intervention group received 6-month community management by fol-lowing insulin management unit pattern;the patients in the control group received routine community management of diabetic patients .The level of fasting blood glucose ,glycosylated hemoglobin ( HbA1 c) and the scores of self -efficacy of the patients were compared between the two groups before the intervention and after the intervention for 6 months. Results:The level of fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemo-globin (HbA1c) decreased significantly in the intervention group after the intervention for 6 months (P<0.05);the scores of self-effica-cy of the patients were superior in the intervention group to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementation of insulin manage-ment unit can improve the self -efficacy of community patients with type 2 diabetes ,and it can improve their self management level and the glucose metabolism .
