Application of the extended nursing service in the obstetrical ward

Abstract：Objective:To discuss the application and clinical effect of the extended nursing service in the obstetrical ward .Method:372 puerperae were randomly divided into the observation group (n=196) and the control group(n=176).The traditional nursing service was given to the puerperae in the control group and the extended nursing service was additionally provided for the puerperae in the observation group.The puerperal infection ,awareness of the related knowledge about maternal and neonatal care and neonatal disorders were observed and compared between the two groups .Results:The incidence of puerperal infection and neonatal disorders was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05);the awareness of the related knowledge about maternal and neonatal care in the puer -perae was better in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The extended nursing service in the obstetrical ward can significantly reduce the incidence of puerperal infection and neonatal disorders and improve the quality of nursing service .
