Abstract：Dear Editor, Local recurrence and cervical lymph node metastases are major causes of mortality in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). To date, none of the proposed strategies for predicting outcomes in this disease have proven fully effective, and a comprehensive physical examination remains the primary method for early detection and monitoring of HNSCC.
