Abstract:With the deepening of rural land system reform in China, land transfer has become a crucial pathway to agricultural modernization.Under the dual objectives of ensuring food security and advancing large-scale farming, how crop planting structure affects land transfer efficiency has become a pressing practical issue.Based on data from 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province in 2023,this study empirically analyzed the impact of the planting proportions of grain and fruit crops on land transfer rates. The results revealed that both grain and fruit planting proportions significantly inhibited land transfer rates, and a synergistic inhibitory effect was observed between them. This influence operates through multiple channels, including alterations in transfer models, contract durations, and the selection of participants. The study provides new empirical evidence for understanding the relationship between crop structure and land transfer.
