Abstract:In the process of global trade integration, the aquatic product trade,as a crucial sector in the agricultural economy, has garnered significant attention for its international competitiveness. This study conducts a statistical analysis of China's aquatic product import and export trade from three perspectives:trade flow, commodity structure, and market structure. The export competitiveness of the world's top ten aquatic product exporters was quantified using International Market Share(IMS)and the Trade Competitiveness Index(TCI),while Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and Grey Relational Analysis(GRA)were used to identify key determinants influencing China's export competitiveness. From the perspective of export competitiveness, although China is a major player in aquatic products trade, its export competitiveness has been on a declining trend year by year.Key factors most closely associated with competitiveness include total aquatic product output, national aquaculture area, and the size of the fishery workforce. Finally, targeted strategies are proposed to provide insights for achieving high-quality development in China's aquatic product trade.
