New Quality Productivity and Rural Revitalization:Intrinsic Logic and Empirical Examination

Abstract：New quality productivity holds significant economic value and social significance in rural revitalization,serving as a crucial driving force for the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.This paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for new quality productivity and the development level of rural revitalization based on panel data from 30 provinces in China(excluding Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan)from 2012 to 2022.It employs the TOPSIS entropy weight method to measure the development levels of new quality productivity and rural revitalization.Subsequently,the article deeply analyzes the intrinsic connection and theoretical logic between new quality productivity and rural revitalization development,and through empirical research methods,it examines the actual impact of new quality productivity on rural revitalization development.The main conclusions drawn are:First,new quality productivity exhibits clear advantages in promoting the development of rural revitalization.This conclusion remains solid and reliable after a series of rigorous endogeneity and robustness tests;Second,there are significant regional differences in the impact of new quality productivity on rural revitalization;Third,scientific research and experimental development(R&D)play an important intermediary role in the process of new quality productivity promoting rural revitalization.Based on these research findings,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from perspectives such as the cultivation and application of new quality productivity,R&D investment,and the formulation of differentiated rural revitalization strategies.
